About the Author
Hey readers! I am Angel, otherwise known as Angel of the Abyss. I was born and raised in Kansas City but currently reside in sunny Phoenix AZ with my husband and two dogs. I love to travel, watch television, play video games, and do graphic design.
My full-time job allows little time to explore this passion of mine. Thankfully, I never let it stop me. It's been three years since I wrote my opening line of my debut-Forgotten Life. Now, I have a completed 3-book series and a few more in the works.

I write 1st person modern day romance with characters who have a touch of paranormal to them. Superhumans- typically, those with mind abilities or the ability to manipulate the mind in some form. This allows me to create stories with deep plots and twists that you won't see coming. Don't worry though, I always write HEAs... you just have to go through the emotional rollercoaster to get there.
As someone who suffers from ADHD and mental illness, I do write this into my books. My experiences may not align with that of others, and my work may not always be perceived with the desired message to readers, but I will never mean any ill-intent of those suffering with disabilities or mental illness.

I am also partially deaf, so written words have always been important to me. I hope in the future I can do audiobooks to help make my books more accessible.

1. What three questions do you wish you knew the answers to?
-
Why people think the way they do.
-
Why humanity always has to be in a race to obtain power.
-
Why so many things don't make sense but are pillars to our way of life.

If you ask me, I'd say we evolved from sheep.
2. When do you feel most like yourself?
-
If you knew how much of an introvert I am, you would already know this answer. I feel most like myself when I'm alone, and I have enough thoughts in my head to keep me company. Otherwise, I would say when I'm at home or with my husband, writing or playing video games.
3. What is one thing you'll never give up on?
-
Improving and learning. I am a knowledge seeker. I love having and sharing it, and I am always looking to better myself in important areas of my life. I feel everyone should have the knowledge to make informed decisions in areas that will affect the lives of themselves and others.
5. What did you want to be when you grew up?
-
A teacher. And the more and more I go through my career, it's apparent that hasn't exactly changed. I tend to insert myself when it comes to training and educating, ensuring people are provided the resources to succeed at whatever it is they need to. I do the same with my beta reads, the author section of my website... anything I can do to help someone make their own decisions and be self-sufficient.
4. Do you think there is ever a time where giving up makes sense?
-
Absolutely. And not just in the way of "giving up drinking, giving up drugs etc". I'm talking about giving up on things that don't make you happy. Habits that are toxic and unhealthy. Give up anything that doesn't give you peace. Life is too short.
6. If you could tell your pre-author self anything, what would it be?
-
To only write for yourself or for the love of writing. Not to please people. Not to make money or become rich and famous. Write because you have a voice that could excite, entertain, and induce feelings readers would otherwise suppress.
7. What would you do differently if you knew no one would judge you?
-
Is it okay to say "bitch slap" willfully ignorant people sometimes? Just know that I mean that in the nicest way possible :)
8. What's something you know you do differently than most people?
-
Apparently I'm weird because I like to eat the kernel of the popcorn first and then collect and save all the soft puffs until the end. It's a texture sensitivity thing. Or maybe it's a self restraint thing. Who knows. Don't knock it till you try it.
