Books2read.com - This site is a great free tool for authors to upload the links for all the platforms their book is on and allows one universal link to be supplied to readers. Readers then get to choose their preferred buying source such as Amazon, B&N, or other retail stores.
Capcut - This app is great for video editing and collages. It has tons of features and cool effects. It has a desktop version and mobile version, which I feel the mobile version is easier to use. It is free but offers unlockable features at a cost.
Canva - Hands down the best app for an indie author. If you only choose one app to help with your author career, it should be this. They do have a free version, but the yearly PRO membership is $119 and well worth it. You can create any type of graphic/social media post as well as videos using all sorts of elements and tools. It's super easy drag and drop features are workable on online version and mobile version. I recommend trying online 1st
OneNote - I am adding OneNote for many reasons but mainly because people tend to forget it's there. It's free and it has instant sync between desktop and mobile, making it versatile and convenient. It's so easy to use & allows for multiple notebooks, folders, & subfolders to keep everything tidy. It is very easy to share with others such as designers/editors/betas. No experience needed to insert links, pictures, text and more but also very easy to learn
Grammarly - This site is a widely used tool to help authors with their writing. It focuses on grammar, punctuation, prose, word choice, etc.
ProWritingAid- I have never used ProWritingAid but many people prefer it over Grammarly.
Atticus.io - Atticus.io is a writing/formatting software. It is a newer software that has updates often, constantly adding and improving their system to make it a great tool especially for indie authors. It's best reviews currently are for it's impressive easy to do formatting that only takes a few clicks. There is a one time fee, but many authors agree it is well worth the money for the formatting alone. **It is still in beta stages but vastly improving.
